Mercedes CLS63 AMG – Bank Street, NYC

May 22nd, 2012 by Aaron

More matte madness, this time in grey on the original 4-door coupe. Believe it or not, this is a factory finish Mercedes offers on most of their line-up. If you like how it looks on this AMG bruiser, you will love how it looks particularly on the flagship SLS AMG.

SAAB 96 – SE 15th And Umatilla, Portland, OR

May 18th, 2012 by Emir

Remember when Saabs were cool? When they were actually manufactured by a company that made airplanes and fighter jets, and not just an ad saying so. Say hello to the 96, a significant little car in the company’s quirky history if for nothing else than the fact that it was the first model officially imported to the UK.

More pics after the jump. Have a great weekend!

Behind The Scenes – Mustang GT500CR: Red Hook, Brooklyn

May 9th, 2012 by Stu

Classic Recreations, a Shelby-licensed restomod builder out of Oklahoma, was kind enough to loan us one of their righteous playthings for the week. Our heads immediately went to pretty women, fast driving and industrial backdrops in the brooklyn area.

Here are some teaser images to chew on while my ace photographer Anthony Barbato does his magic in post production

Enjoy!

Yamaha Sportster Clone – East 64th Street, NYC

May 3rd, 2012 by Stu

What appears to be a Harley Sportster at first glance reveals what’s actually a highly customized, ridiculously imaginative Yamaha designed to mimic the iconic American classic. Love the minimalist springer seat, Sportster-style tank and rubber sans fenders. Someone put a silly amount of time into making this baby into an utterly cool, one-of-a-kind Japanese-American mash up.

Well done!

Car Spotting In Williamsburg – Sights & Sounds

April 30th, 2012 by Stu

One stroll through Williamsburg on a beautiful afternoon and it’s clear, hipsters like cars almost as much as they do handlebar mustaches and fixed gear bikes.

Panoz Esperante – University & Waverley, Palo Alto

April 26th, 2012 by Stu

Remember the Panoz Esperante? You know… the Ford powered, small batch exotic from the mind of racing mogul Don Panoz. The Atlanta-based company has slowly been making modifications and upgrades to the swoopy sports car since it debuted way back in 2000. Despite the lame interior and somewhat dated aesthetic, the nearly 13 year old design (also available as a roadster and high performance GTLM edition) still manages to turn heads and perform admirably.  For the money, about $100k, the Esperante provides a unique alternative for enthusiasts not interested in higher volume models like 6-Series, SL and XK.

Thanks for the photos Ilya! They reek of Silicon Valley buyout money…
