I have said it before and I’ll say it again. The only opinion that matters when it comes to personalizing your ride is your own. With that being said, I am not quite sure what this Oldsmobile owner had in mind when choosing fluorescent marker colors as a two tone paint scheme on the American classic pictured here. The funny part is that this Portland cruiser might just be cool enough to pull it off.

Movies and cars are alike in the sense that sequels are never as good as the original. This glorious gen 1 Toronado spotted by our Portland sharp shooter is evidence. The two-ton Grand Touring coupe from the now defunct GM division is a rolling testament to America’s former foothold over the automotive industry. Emotional styling, grand proportions and one bad ass mother of an engine stuffed under the hood. Things really went south in ‘71 as Toronado’s exterior design began to mirror more luxurious (and boring) GM sister vehicles from the era, like Buick Riviera and Cadillac Eldorado.

We spotted this pristine Cutlass on Lafayette Street in SOHO. It’s one of those rare occasions when a vinyl roof actually compliments an automobile – particularly funny in this case because many of the people who drove this car from ’68-’72 continued the styling trend well into the 1990s.
