Mystery Ride – 405 North, Seal Beach (LA)

March 4th, 2010 by Mike

This handsome little coupe blew by me on the freeway. Like one of those gun fights from the Wild West, I whipped out my 3G and fired off this picture fast as I could. The car looks and feels like a vintage European, possibly with an Italian body design (Zagato, Bertone, Pininfarina, etc). You know the drill – name that car and get a super cool Man on the Move t-shirt.

Mystery Ride – Lincoln Boulevard, Venice, CA

February 17th, 2010 by Mike

It’s not often we find ourselves unable to identify a vehicle. And as much as it hurts our car guy pride to admit it, we have no flippin clue what this cute little coupe is. The fussy styling cues, particularly the front and rear lights, feel pre WWII Japanese. Also notice where the hinges are positioned in the rear – that could mean there is a rumble seat below. The roof also appears to be of the clamp-on variety. Care to take a stab at the make and model? Test your car spotting skills after the jump…

Mystery Ride Revealed – Sherbourne Avenue, LA

November 18th, 2009 by Nick

mystery ride

It would have been great to bring you the exact make and model but this mystery ride is locked up tight and I don’t need a pissed off owner chasing me down the street with a 12 guage. I did manage to find a piece of the car cover that wasn’t being held down with a brick though – it revealed what appears to be a brand name or race team logo tattooed onto the side sill. Anyone recognize it? Either way, the plexiglass and abundance of scuffs reek of a kit that has seen its share of track time. Thanks to all those who weighed in.

Mystery Ride – Upper East Side, NYC

Guess that ride 1

ManOnTheMove tirelessly scours the city to bring you great pictures of interesting rides owned and operated by fellow New Yorkers. Now it is time to put your car-spotting skills to the test. We snapped this unidentified boat (uhm vehicle) on the Upper East Side and all we can tell you is that it is large, vintage and most likely hails from these United States. Think you have the chops to name the make and model?
