Chevy Styleline Deluxe Sport Coupe – Forest Grove, Oregon

July 27th, 2010 by Emir

I spotted this great looking 51 Chevy parked outside the Forest Grove Concour d’Elegeance last weekend. Its brilliant blue paint, elegant use of chrome, and smooth curves had me stopped like a dear caught in the headlights. And what an interior. I hope to look this sporty when I’m 60 years old. In case any of my rant now has you lusting for one of these, this baby happens to be for sale and can be in your driveway for the low low price of $15K. Any interested parties can email haywood53@gmail.com.

*note: price does not include Man on the Move broker fee of 6%

Buick Skylark Custom – SE 49th and SE Division, Portland, OR

June 21st, 2010 by Emir

This classic Buick Skylark Custom was so insanely perfect in every way that I was almost afraid to breathe when stepping up to snap a few photos on this dreary Portland afternoon. The chrome, trim pieces and killer mag wheels all looked better than new. And while I’m usually a violent opponent of vinyl roofs, this one looks pretty damn good transposed against the Bahama Blue paint’s subtle sheen.

Mercury Cougar – Columbia Heights, Brooklyn

August 25th, 2009 by Austin

Mercury Cougar

More refined and upscale than its Dearborn platform-mate, these ‘67-’68 gen 1 Cougars were positioned as Mustangs that had gone off to European finishing school. Aside from the fact that the two cars shared no exterior body panels, Cougar customers also got more luxurious appointments and standard V8 power. We were stopped dead in our tracks by the gaping full-width grille that is often likened to that of an electric shaver.

1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 – East 23rd Street, NYC

June 24th, 2009 by Stu

95-viper-rt-10-e23rd-streetIt’s always a treat to see one of the 25,000 or so Vipers produced since introduction in 1992. And given the livery vehicle choices seen here, we would definitely hail down the “Race Yellow” snake charm owned and operated by Long Island resident Alan Stewart.

Cadillac CTS – Lexington Ave, NYC

May 26th, 2009 by Stu

cadillac-cts-grand-central-stationThe CTS looks right at home parked alongside slab-sided Lexington Avenue office buildings. This “Crystal Red”, second generation example absolutely reeks of urban sophistication and represents version 2.0 for Cadillac’s edgy Art & Science design language. We waited around for Kate Walsh but she never showed.

1949 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe – Ave of the Americas, NYC

April 21st, 2009 by Ian

More than 50 years old and this Fisher-bodied, pristine Series 62 Coupe is still all business. Something the head of a major crime syndicate might be found driving down by the docks on a foggy night. It’s classy as hell and alluded to a high position on the food chain – a stark contrast to the current consumer associations with the domestic manufacturers.
