Lambo’s far out Aventador spotted in the far east.
Thank you Devrin!
Classic Recreations, a Shelby-licensed restomod builder out of Oklahoma, was kind enough to loan us one of their righteous playthings for the week. Our heads immediately went to pretty women, fast driving and industrial backdrops in the brooklyn area.
Here are some teaser images to chew on while my ace photographer Anthony Barbato does his magic in post production
Enjoy!

What appears to be a Harley Sportster at first glance reveals what’s actually a highly customized, ridiculously imaginative Yamaha designed to mimic the iconic American classic. Love the minimalist springer seat, Sportster-style tank and rubber sans fenders. Someone put a silly amount of time into making this baby into an utterly cool, one-of-a-kind Japanese-American mash up.
Well done!

One stroll through Williamsburg on a beautiful afternoon and it’s clear, hipsters like cars almost as much as they do handlebar mustaches and fixed gear bikes.
Remember the Panoz Esperante? You know… the Ford powered, small batch exotic from the mind of racing mogul Don Panoz. The Atlanta-based company has slowly been making modifications and upgrades to the swoopy sports car since it debuted way back in 2000. Despite the lame interior and somewhat dated aesthetic, the nearly 13 year old design (also available as a roadster and high performance GTLM edition) still manages to turn heads and perform admirably. For the money, about $100k, the Esperante provides a unique alternative for enthusiasts not interested in higher volume models like 6-Series, SL and XK.
Thanks for the photos Ilya! They reek of Silicon Valley buyout money…

Supercars are a rare breed. Rarer still are custom-bodied supercars based off of already existing supercars. Take this racy coupe spotted on 49th street for example. While difficult to recognize based on the styling alone, unless your an automotive super freak, the drivetrain, chassis and other major structural components are shared with one of Detroit’s greats. So go ahead, name that obscure supercar…
Thanks for the spot Mike.
Pictured: The star of the show, Dodge’s beautifully resurrected 2013 Viper super car
This year’s New York Auto Show was a good one. There were several notable production and concept car debuts to speak of, among them an all new Dodge Viper that SRT President and CEO Ralph Giles managed to resurrect after the iconic American super car went silent in 2010. The 2013 vision you see above has obvious Italian influence fused into its hot rod roots. Think of it as a 640HP bruiser cloaked in fine Italian menswear. You can thank parent company Fiat for that.
More sights and sounds after the jump…

The life of a traffic cop isn’t glamorous. In fact, these civil servants must endure aggression and generally hostile behavior from irritated motorists all day long. There’s even a reality show about it. That’s precisely why this colorfully garbed gentleman didn’t skip a beat when it came to write up the owner of this new Ferrari FF parked on Madison. Hell, it’s probably the most fun he’s had in weeks.
Maybe this well-to-do owner will wise up and feed the meter next time.
