Caprice Classic Convertible - Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn

You know the scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off where Cameron Frye, in the hopes of dissuading his popular High School chum Ferris from “borrowing” his dad’s multi-million dollar 250 GT California, uttered that infamous movie line: “Ferris, he never drives it! He just rubs it with a diaper!” Well, let’s just say Cameron’s dad ain’t the only car buff in the world who obsesses over his automobile to such an extreme extent. Seen here, parked outside of the famously tasty neighborhood Pizza spot Lucali, this absurdly well cared for Caprice Classic was spotted in all its diaper rubbed glory. A neighborhood mainstay, this cream puff of an American roadster, the last of the Chevy’s large ragtops, is perhaps as clean and perfect as it was on the day it rolled off the line in Detroit in the mid 1960s.
