Ferrari F12 Berlinetta – West Broadway, NYC

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta - West Broadway, NYC

Not our first high profile sighting in front of Cipriani’s posh West Broadway location, and likely not our last. I am told this black/black Ferrari F12 Berlinetta belongs to one Mickey Drexler, current chairman and CEO of J.Crew Group and formerly the CEO of Gap Inc. He has also been a director at Apple Inc. since 1999. Needless to say, Mr Drexler has fine taste in cloths, electronics and, evidenced by this midnight black prancing horse from Maranello, exotic automobiles. The sinister F12 produces a staggering 730HP, pushing the equisitely designed vehicle to 60MPH in a scant 3.1 seconds and to a top speed of 210 MPH. I guess we can consider ourselves lucky to have been able to snap a couple of pics of this beast actually standing still.

Thanks for the pics Evan!

Chevy Deluxe Sedan – 26th and R Street, Lincoln, Nebraska

Chevy Deluxe Sedan - 26th and R Street, Lincoln, Nebraska

Talk about nostalgia. These pics could easily have been Norman Rockwell paintings in another life. It’s almost as if this finely aged Chevy sedan was posing for us, being the only car parked on this picturesque Nebraska block.

Car spotting at its best.

Range Rover Evoque Coupe – Broadway Ave @ 26th Street, NYC

Range Rover Evoque Coupe - Broadway Ave, NYC

Range Rover’s Evoque is one hot number, surely the  raciest small SUV on the market. Way chicer than the likes of a BMW X1 or the soon-to-be-launched Audi Q2. This blacked out example spotted on Broadway, fresh from the dealership, rocks the more rarely seen 2-door configuration, a unique and very sports-car-like option for buyers seeking style, luxury and coupe-like sophistication in one tidy little off-road package. Really digging the look this black on black coupe has to offer.

Pontiac Trans Am – Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn

Pontiac Trans Am - Dekalb Avenue, Brooklyn

We spotted this truly memorable Trans Am on Dekalb in Brooklyn. Locals tell me this baby is a familiar mainstay in the neighborhood, always parked in that spot. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a vintage ride but I am kind of digging how trashy chic this thing is. Who’s with me?

Porsche 928 – 25th St & Stevens Ave S, Minneapolis

October 3rd, 2013 by Emir

Porsche 928 - 25th St & Stevens Ave S, Minneapolis

Porsche executives, weary of Nader’s Corvair-crushing Unsafe at Any Speed, were skittish on the rear-engine, sometimes hard-to-handle 911 by the late 1960s. They were looking for something fresh to lure in luxury buyers. Enter 928, which represented the german marque’s first foray into luxury 2+2 GT cars and was originally intended to replace, yes I said replace, the iconic 911. We all know that the beloved 911 didn’t go anywhere, but it’s hard to argue against the coupe’s precocious styling. 928 also represented one of the few front engine cars Porsche ever built (6 in total) and featured innovation galore: water-cooled big block V8, movable steering column, 50:50 weight distribution and Weissach rear axle. Sales were no where near company expectations unfortunately, but the svelte 928 managed to grab top honors in 1978 in the European Car of the Year competition. Love that rump!
