The Land Cruiser, in it’s earliest form, represented unadulterated utility wrapped in a simple, reconfigurable body. Hard top, soft top, pick-up, and station wagon were among the many configurations available at the time of purchase. This ultra-clean, cherry red FJ40 [40-Series] was spotted with it’s top off on Main Street in downtown Park City. It’s a shame Toyota doesn’t make simple, open-top off-roaders like this anymore. The Wrangler could stand for some real competition.
