I spotted this electrified IQ just moments away from Toyota’s North American HQ in Torrence. From the low resistance aero wheel scheme and striking two tone paint job to the fender-integrated charging port, it was easy to tell this was no ordinary IQ. Designed for urban and campus environments with car-sharing programs in mind, the spec sheet is pretty well matched against vehicle mission with a 50 mile range [the Nissan Leaf gets about 75] and fairly rapid 3 hour charge time. And while you won’t find this little EV runabout at the local dealership, you might spot one of the other 89 units Toyota manufactured for fleet and car-sharing use. Or you could go buy a Prius.
