Bask in the EV glory of Model S, the much anticipated and 100% electric sport sedan that Tesla has been banking on for some years now. Well, its finally here and Manhattan is full of ’em to nobody’s surprise. Deliveries slowly began leaking in last June and Tesla hopes to sell about 20,000 in North America alone in 2013. Tesla is even paying back their DOE loan 5 years early so business seems to be good for the time being. European sales for the Model S begin later this year, with left hand drive deliveries scheduled to being in the Spring and right hand drive UK models scheduled to begin later in the year. As you can imagine, parking on the street overnight is not an option for people in Manhattan unless droves of charging stations start popping up on city streets. But then again, parking a $100K sports sedan on the street is probably not the best idea to begin with. In any case, a handsome and understated sedan that will give 400 and 500 horsepower bruisers a run for their money thanks to all that low end torque.
