BMW M5 – Pasadena Freeway, Los Angeles

January 27th, 2011 by Stu

Our dear friend, fellow blogger and purveyor of all things cool Nick Maggio recently ran a post on his blog about this utterly amazing ’88 E28 M5, the first of just 30 black on blacks to be imported to these shores. Nick was good enough to reserve a few choice pics from his shoot for all you loyal Man on the Move fans out there. So, without further ado, have a gander at these glorious pics of a car that was labeled the fastest sedan in the world when it debuted, in Amsterdam of all places, way back in 1984. Not only are these E28 M5s among the rarest BMWs ever made, they were built largely by hand.

Thanks Nick!

  • This car is awesome. I used to see one in Manhattan Beach all the time. I wonder if it is the same car. Being 1 of 30 what are the odds. I would be happy with any e28 really but these were awesome.

  • I love this model. My first Beem’r was a 528. My first sedan.
Not a speedster but I really liked the size and look.
    Wish I still had it.
