I headed down to the utterly trendy Meatpacking District for dinner at the Standard Grill and was immediately distracted by all the choice rides strewn about Washington Street. First I peeped this tricked out Cayman S, complete with bitchin Sarona body kit, black wheels, tints and frosty Carrara White coloring. The stark white silhouette, in contrast with dark wheels, looked as if it was hovering above the asphalt. The owner gave me nasty looks from the nearby table he was sitting at as I snapped away at his baby. Maybe he thought I was an SEC auditor or something? Next up was this well-kept 911 Turbo Slantnose (aka Flatnose), “Flachbau” in German, parked around the corner. I was floored not least because of how rare these specially bodied 911s are, but because of how exotic it still manages to look more than 20 years later. Just another night in the Meatpacking District right?
ouch . . . those cobblestones and potholes are havoc for 35 series tires and firm suspensions but you ‘gotta been seen at the scene
