We have covered Cadillac’s ever changing brand cachet before, and not to sound like a broken record, but utterly grandiose machines like this Series 75 Fleetwood used to command serious envy from onlookers and signaled great personal success on the part of the owner. Fleetwood, the prestigious coachbuilder known for hand crafted wood and aluminum bodies, was also a designation Cadillac imparted on cars that were positioned at the top of the range. So not only was this Series 75 the grandest sedan in the line-up but the most opulent. Too bad the $2,500 price tag was so out of touch with the depressed American economy.
