ferrari-f40-rear-quarterThe F40 comes from a long line of range topping halo models that have traditionally been relied upon to bolster the supremely advanced, exotic and world class brand image that is the prancing horse. Their goal is to impress to the point that excitement trickles down to less costly models. The F40, for example, formally held the title for world’s fastest production automobile, not a bad statistic to refer to when selling a consumer on engineering prowess. That is to say that Ferraris like this Rosso Corsa F40, which was preceded by 288 GTO and succeeded by F50 and Enzo, sit above other, “higher production” models [just over 1,315 F40s were produced between 1987-1992] in the range such as F430, 599 GTB and 612 Scaglietti.
