Honda Ruckus – 10th Avenue, NYC

June 29th, 2009 by Ian

honda-ruckus1The rugged little Honda Ruckus looks kinda tough parked outside restaurant Morimoto on 10th Avenue. Much the same way you need an iron stomach to eat some of Chef Morimoto’s wilder TV dishes, the Ruckus comes to the table packing heat for the mean streets of New York.

June 26th, 2009 by Stu

Once a year, Rhinebeck, NY plays home to the largest antique motorcycle show and swap meet in the country. So we got in the car and headed down to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds to get you a taste vintage chopper heaven. Everything from rusted out Knuckle Heads to pristine 4-cylinder Chiefs and just about every other form on vintage transportation in-between.

Porsche 911 Targa 4 – Mercer Street, NYC

June 25th, 2009 by Ian

911-targaWe all love Targas for the non committal reverence they pay to open top motoring. The best of both worlds indeed, a handsome coupe when you need it and the wind rushing through your hair when you don’t.

1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 – East 23rd Street, NYC

June 24th, 2009 by Stu

95-viper-rt-10-e23rd-streetIt’s always a treat to see one of the 25,000 or so Vipers produced since introduction in 1992. And given the livery vehicle choices seen here, we would definitely hail down the “Race Yellow” snake charm owned and operated by Long Island resident Alan Stewart.

June 23rd, 2009 by Ian

1949-cadillac-coupe-devilleWe have covered Cadillac’s ever changing brand cachet before, and not to sound like a broken record, but utterly grandiose machines like this Series 75 Fleetwood used to command  serious envy from onlookers and signaled great personal success on the part of the owner.

June 22nd, 2009 by Stu

solstice coupe-gwbMore than 100,000 vehicles will cross the GWB in 2009 but this “Wicked Red” coupe represents the last all-new Pontiac model that the famed Hudson crossing will ever know before the storied brand is phased out.

VW GTI – N. Moore Street, NYC

June 19th, 2009 by Ian

volkswagen-gti1This founding member of the hot hatch hall of fame looks fast while standing still on Tribecca’s North Moore street. Go fast looks aside, you really can’t ask for a better city racer thanks to the uber wide torque curve (max torque available from 1800 - 5000 RPM), nimble handling and compact dimensions.

Jeep Wrangler Islander – Broome Street, NYC

June 18th, 2009 by Ian

jeep-islander-broome-streetOn this gloomy, rain soaked hump day we bring you sunshine and this special edition Wrangler bearing a tropical name. The Islanders were not terribly different than their base model brethren, save for the vibrant “Sunset” Islander graphics and body colored wheel flares.

Bentley Arnage – Madison Avenue, NYC

June 17th, 2009 by Ian

bentley-arnage-madison-aveWe caught  up with this Bentley Arnage on Madison Avenue, exactly where it belongs.  For over ten years this handcrafted vessel has served as the Bentley flagship. For a moment  it was the most powerful and fastest saloon in the market.

Cadillac CTS-V – Gansevoort St @ Little West 12th, NYC

June 16th, 2009 by Stu

cadillac-cts-v-gansevoort-stFrom slaughterhouse heaven (1900) to hookers and narcotics (1980s) to upscale nightlife and shopping (now), the area also know as the Gansevoort Market knows how to change faces. Enter Cadillac, who has followed more than a few paradigm shifts since losing consideration as the ultimate status symbol in our country.
